You fear the isolation and the pain of serious chronic illness. We all do. But, if you learn to transform that lonely experience into a shared one, you will feel new hope.
Author Biography
Annie Malone Zangari is a hands-on expert when it comes to living with chronic disease. Annie, herself, developed young-onset Parkinson's disease after the birth of her fourth child, when all of her children were under the age of ten. Her father and mother both had Parkinson's disease. Through years of observing her parents, Annie learned how they converted their daily struggle into a life of hope. Their modeling became the basis of A Gift, Silently Given. Annie holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Dayton, and a Masters degree (religion, culture and business ethics) from Harvard University. Probably most importantly, she has spent months talking to people, including her Mom, about their perceptions of illness. They have shown through their words, laughter and tears that they identify deeply with what they've read in this book. Living with PD may be Annie's burden, but writing about it is her passion!
