She participated in the dti's Office of Science \u0026amp; Technology project on Brain Science, Addiction and Drugs, forecasting the next two decades. She was a trustee of the National Association for Children of Alcoholics UK. In 2006, ICAA awarded her the Dr Vincent Bakeman memorial award for Outstanding Community Service.
