She formed Lady Leo Publishing in September 2004, an independent electronic publishing company specializing in publishing confessions, short stories, and novellas. Her novel, In the Name of Love, was voted Best New Drama and Fiction of the Year by the Disilgold Literary National Association. She earned an Editor's Choice Award from the YOUnity Book Club for the novel It's in the Rhythm, and in 2007 the novel was nominated for an NAACP Image Award.
