Author Biography

Carolyn Harmon is a retired educator and freelance writer who has enjoyed sampling horseshoes for many years. She continues to perfect her family's recipe for potatoes and cheese sauce, the horseshoe's most important components. Tony Leone has often served as a historical reference for the Horseshoe Sandwich for local and national publications. Leone restored a Springfield landmark, the Pasfield House Inn, former residence of George Pasfield, who served as president of the Leland Hotel when the horseshoe was created.
