Top 40 Radio 1955-1975: A Fanboy's Tribute to the Hits, Misses and Forgotten Gems - Paperback

by David Craft (Author)

With Top 40 Radio 1955-1975: A Fanboy's Tribute to the Hits, Misses and Forgotten Gems, David Craft pays homage to the songs and artists of his youth, helps other baby boomers reminisce, and inspires younger generations to learn about a period of popular music rich in melodies, hooks, lyrics, and performances. As the author says, "Rock 'n' roll isn't stamped with an expiration date." Craft is an invited member of the Microphonies, a group of retired disc jockeys and radio engineers, including a few DJs he grew up listening to, and talking with them enhanced his research. Conversational in tone and respectful in its presentation, Top 40 Radio 1955-1975 mixes thoughtful reflection, informed opinion, and self-deprecating humor with a historian's eye for detail.
