Katie returns to Bar Harbor, Maine to move into the seaside cottage her grandmother left her. Too bad it's been overrun with woodland creatures she just knows are snickering as they watch her sneaking through her own house, terrified she'll run into them.

At least she has her loyal Newfoundland dog sidekick to bolster her spirits when she feels like giving up. As for Aiden, the police chief, who's grumpy as hell and far too hot for his own good, she's trying not to think about him. Unfortunately for her, he's quite distracting.

No one ever said starting over would be easy, and Katie is proof of that.
